Human Resources Generalist - Norway

The Position

In this position, one will be responsible for a variety of tasks to support the daily operations of the HR department. This person's duties - amongst others - include recruitment, comparing HR laws to current policies and procedures, drafting templates for HR documents, and working with other departments to oversee the hiring process for Neptune Software employees. In this role, recruitment will be this individual's primary focus.

Responsibilities

  • Write and post job openings on designated hiring platforms
  • Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborate with other hiring managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings
  • Evaluate and engage recruitment agencies when needed
  • Perform tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to leave arrangement/tracking, leave reversal, employee records maintenance, organizational chart updates, etc.
  • Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and managers
  • Ensures compliance with local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment laws
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications Needed

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • At least 2 years of human resources management experience
  • Proven experience as a recruiter, preferable in technical recruitment
  • Technical expertise with an ability to understand and explain job requirements for technical roles is a plus
  • Experience in Application Tracking
  • Solid understanding of HR practices and labor law
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to deliver effective results, meet tight deadlines and targets
  • Norwegian and English fluency is a must
