Technical Support Engineer

The Position

Neptune Software is looking to hire 2 Technical Support Engineers, one in Norway and one in the EU. We are looking for an individual who can support our customers and partners in their journey with the Neptune DX Platform. As a Technical Support Engineer, this person will have a key role in maximizing the Neptune DX Platform value. In this role, they will help the Neptune Software community with their questions, guide partners, current customers and potential new customers in understanding the potential of Neptune DXP, and overcome any challenges they may have with our platform. We're looking for someone with superior technical expertise and a problem-solving aptitude for this position.

Oslo, Norway, and Europe, Remote

The Candidate

This person must have a natural interest and curiosity to learn new technologies. They are comfortable working both independently and in teams. They are customer and service-oriented (i.e. people and consulting skills), keen on sharing knowledge and experience.  

Responsibilities

  • Register any reported technical issues related to our Platform and decide on the best course of action to resolve them
  • Stay updated on the current knowledge base in order to find immediate responses to known problems
  • Resolve technical issues brought forth on our helpdesk, escalate issues to the Engineering team when appropriate
  • Route issues to the services/engineering team when appropriate and monitor the responses to these incidents
  • Update customers about their pending inquiries and progress status 
  • Help define ways to continually add value to the customer experience by advocating for them

Experience/Competencies Needed

  • Personal dedication to supporting and passion for development and troubleshooting
  • Problem-solving with strong analytical skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with aggressive release schedules
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant development experience or software technical support
  • Knowledge of HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS  
  • Time management skills and the ability to establish reasonable and attainable deadlines

Additional Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of SAP and SAP UI5
  • Understanding of React.js and Vue.js 
  • Some knowledge of Cloud computing
