Business Development Representative - Hamburg, Germany

The Position

As a Business Development Representative, this person will help accelerate our growth in the DACH market, growing it substantially from where we are today. Together with our marketing and sales team, and our partners, they will be responsible for generating new leads.

The Candidate

In this role, this individual will assist the Strategic Development Inside Sales in building a professional, trustworthy, and active engagement of potential customers and channel partners in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland growing both indirect and direct revenues. They will drive sales numbers by generating pipeline with our partners and through lead generation activities. They will need to influence end-users, partners, and other stakeholders to understand the Neptune Software value proposition through sustainable communication. 

Responsibilities

  • Research, identify and qualify prospects who would benefit from our platform
  • Build a pipeline of leads for the sales team by identifying key players, generating interest, and developing accounts to set up quality meetings that drive revenue
  • Work closely with aligned Strategic Account Managers to create account strategies to turn prospects into customers
  • Collaborate with Marketing to develop creative strategies for engaging and nurturing prospects using content, e-mail, phone, social media, and any other strategies that work
  • Execute professional cold calls and respond to inbound inquiries to secure appointments
  • Build a great and reliable relationship with prospects and our customers
  • Build up specialist knowledge of the territory and target customers
  • Always be looking for creative ways to reach target customers
  • Work with various sales tools to research and properly identify prospective customers, manage, track, and report on all activities and results using Salesforce

Qualifications Needed

  • 2+ years experience in Inside Sales and SAP is desirable
  • Passion for sales and a desire to “grow” your sales career with a top-notch company
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn concepts about your role and industry
  • Team player and ability to “connect” with all individuals inside and outside of the organization
  • Goal-oriented thinking and acting, as well as customer orientated and structure are among your strengths
  • Outgoing, highly energetic, enthusiastic and open minded
  • Clear and an effective communicator - consistent and strategic thinker
  • If you have a great sense of humor that’s definitely a big plus
  • Fluent in German with good English language skills is a must
