Pre-Sales Engineer - Hamburg, Germany

The Position

The Go-To-Market team is responsible for providing technical solutions to new and existing customers and partners. In close coordination with the global Lead Go-To-Market team, this individual will be responsible for actively driving the Go-To-Market process. They are someone who is able to articulate the company’s technology and products, positioning to both business and technical users. They are therefore someone who can identify customers’ technical and business requirements and present solutions based on the capabilities of our products. This person will support the sales team on proposal activities. Therefore, we’re looking for someone with superior technical expertise and a problem-solving aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Give demo presentations on our Neptune DX platform 
• Support internal sales and our external partners in the entire sales process as a technical expert
• Plan and develop custom demo applications and solutions 
• Inspire the developer community
• Take care of the technical pre-sales and create proof-of-concepts
• Present the company and our products at various events 
• Hold workshops as a Neptune DX Platform trainer for our customers and partners
• Give feedback to the development department to improve our system and take part in tests for new versions 

Qualifications Needed

• Have a degree in computer science or economics, an apprenticeship as an IT specialist for application development or a comparable qualification
• Have already gained initial experience with web development
• ABAP development experience and experience with cloud platforms are a plus
• Possess SAP technology know-how and Javascript skills
• Are a presentation artist and know exactly how to convince your counterpart in a targeted manner
• Are customer and service-oriented (i.e. you have good people skills and consulting skills) and like to pass on knowledge and experience
• Networking is not a foreign concept, you have the ability to build effective working relationships and work closely with our global go-to-market team and local sales team, but also with our customers and partners
• Can work both independently and as part of a team
• Have a natural interest in learning new technologies
• Can work in a project-oriented manner
• Have experience with IT architecture
• Are able to juggle multiple roles/tasks and projects at the same time
• Are fluent in German and English
• Like to travel
