Territory Sales Representative - United States

The Position

As a Territory Sales Representative, you will help accelerate our growth in the North American region, growing it substantially from where we are today. You will work closely with a number of Neptune partners, helping them focus on Neptune’s DX Platform offerings and supporting them in the sales cycle and closing of business. 

In this role you will be responsible for recruiting, enabling and managing Channel Partners in the DX eco-system in North America, growing both indirect and direct revenues. You will drive sales numbers by generating pipeline with your partners and through lead generation activities. You will need to influence end-users, partners and other stakeholders to understand the Neptune value proposition and you must create value for both end-users and partners by understanding customer requirements and delivering on promise.

Responsibilities

  • Position Neptune DX Platform as the preferred Integration and Development platform for rapid application development to potential clients
  • Research and identify new business opportunities – including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partners – or new ways of reaching existing markets
  • Leverage current channel partner relationships and strategize to help close deals
  • Account management and penetration
  • Develop new partner recruitment opportunities
  • Prospect and identify key executives at target companies
  • Promptly follow-up and qualify leads
  • Identify client needs and suggest appropriate solutions
  • Build up and expand an internal and external network of relationships, especially with customers, prospect companies, and other partners
  • Drive sales through targeted market activities and follow up by executing quality QBRs
  • Be a brand champion and educate prospective clients on Neptune’s value proposition
  • Manage, track and report sales activities and results using the internal CRM
  • Work with our Pre-Sales team to create an effective lead generation, pipeline development and revenue generation approach appropriate for current market conditions
  • Report on trends and information discovered during the prospecting and qualification process. Coordinate marketing activities with the Marketing team.
  • Develop a strong understanding of Neptune Software’s platform, the target market, competition and positioning

Experience/Competencies Needed

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience including 8+ years of sales experience in the technology or software industry
  • At least 5 years of B2B selling experience
  • Demonstrated success in exceeding sales targets using a consultative, solutions-focused approach
  • Ability to build relationships with Global 1000 senior line-of-business and IT executives, as well as operational managers
  • Proven 'hunter' (new business) selling skills
  • Passion for working with emerging technologies and a desire to deeply understand and demonstrate Neptune’s functionality, use cases, as well as business and technical benefits to customers
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in an ambitious environment
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM, LinkedIn/LinkedIn Sales Navigator
  • Consistent self-motivation and drive – a self-starter attitude
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment
  • Ability to understand customer needs and meet that need
  • Good time management with strong organizational skills
